Legacy Brisbane was proud to be named the Brisbane Broncos' official charity partner for ANZAC Round 2026, creating an unforgettable evening that honoured service, remembered sacrifice and celebrated the enduring ANZAC spirit.
Despite persistent rain throughout the night, thousands of Broncos members and supporters filled the stadium, proving that the Australian spirit is alive and well. Together, they embraced the opportunity to recognise those who have served our country while helping raise vital funds for the families of veterans.
As the official charity partner, Legacy Brisbane was the beneficiary of the Broncos' 50/50 Charity Raffle, with supporters generously purchasing tickets throughout the evening. The raffle raised more than $110,000, with 50% of proceeds supporting Legacy Brisbane and helping us continue providing lifelong support to the families of veterans across South East Queensland.
Beyond the fundraising, the evening created several unforgettable moments for Legacy families.
One of the highlights was seeing a group of Legacy child beneficiaries proudly form the Honour Guard, welcoming players onto the field before kick-off. Their involvement was a powerful reminder of who the evening was supporting and the real families who benefit from Legacy's services every day.
Another special moment belonged to Danny, a Legacy child beneficiary, who had the incredible honour of delivering the official match ball before the game. Danny also enjoyed exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Australian Defence Force pre-game proceedings, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience he and his family will never forget.
The evening perfectly reflected the values that unite both the Brisbane Broncos and Legacy Brisbane: service, courage, community and mateship.
Legacy Brisbane extends its sincere thanks to the Brisbane Broncos for selecting us as their official ANZAC Round charity partner, as well as every supporter who purchased a raffle ticket, volunteered their time or helped make the evening such a success.
While the weather may have been wet, the generosity shown throughout the night was anything but.
Together, Broncos members and Legacy supporters demonstrated that the ANZAC spirit continues to thrive, ensuring the families of those who have served receive the care and support they deserve, now and into the future.
