The latest edition of The Torch is now available, bringing together the stories, people and milestones that continue to shape the Legacy Brisbane community and our support for veterans’ families across Queensland.
This Winter edition reflects on a significant few months for Legacy, beginning with ANZAC Day commemorations across South East Queensland, Fraser Burnett and Rockhampton & Central Queensland. From local services to community gatherings, Legacy families, Legatees and supporters came together to honour the service and sacrifice of Australia’s veterans and remember those who are no longer with us.
Inside, we also farewell Brendan Cox following his time as CEO of Legacy Brisbane and welcome Anthony Birch as Interim CEO, as our organisation enters an exciting new chapter. There are also major updates from Legacy House in Greenslopes, including the Topping Out Ceremony marking an important construction milestone and a special visit from Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner as our new home moves closer to completion.
The edition also looks back on Brisbane Broncos ANZAC Round 2026, where Legacy Brisbane was proud to be the official charity partner. Legacy children played a special role in the evening, joining the Honour Guard and taking part in memorable pre-game experiences as thousands of Broncos supporters came together to recognise the ANZAC spirit and support veterans’ families.
